Dear Boys!! The anime I have been watching recently. It's a nice anime so I thought I should recommend to you guys ^^ As you can see, it's about basketball and I love basketball!! Love watching basketball :X I think it all started when I start watching Slam Dunk, another basketball related anime and then dang dang, I just fall in love with it!! After that, I started watching NBA and Medicorp still air NBA back then. Now they don't air that anymore =(( I guess basketball is not as popular as soccer in Asia bah.
Anyway, Dear Boys is not as intent as Slam Dunk nor it's more funny than it. However, it is a pleasant anime to watch. Most matches in Dear Boys do not last more than 2 espisodes, unlike Slam Dunk, which matches can stretch more than 3-6 espisodes. Dear Boys's strongest point against Slam Dunk is that their characters are way more yandao and kawaii =X~~LOL. Well, the story goes like this :
Aikawa Kazuhiko was the star captain of Tendouji, one of the greatest high school basketball teams in Japan. One day, he quitted Tendouji and transferred to Mizuho High School, which had broken basketball team with only 4 members. How will the basketball team picked up with the newly joined member and together pursue their dreams towards the Inter-High championship??? That's for you to find out!! (actually I only watched less than 1/2 of it =X)
I like to watch sports-related anime/drama because it's kinda inspiring and heart-warming. Inspiring?!?! Heart-warming?!?! Well, it's kinda touched me to see how a team could achieve through good teamwork and team spirits and the strong bonds the members have. Withstanding hardships together and march towards a common goal..... doesn't it feel good?? Team members can be your commanders and your best friends too. Hmm, most sports animes give me this kind of feeling.
