Went out for dinner with my colleagues and ex-colleague last week and we were talking about marriage proposal. My ex-colleague was saying that she and her boyfriend are looking for flat but yet, her boyfriend hasn’t pop the million dollar question- “Will you marry me?”

Then I discovered beside that particular colleague, my other friend also encountered the same situation. Both of their boyfriends just said “ Hey…let’s look for/apply for a flat.” That’s all. No question asks. Very the unromantic =/

When I speak of romantic, it doesn’t mean the guy must knee down, along with a bouquet of flowers and propose. The least the guy has to do is pop that question. Don’t just assume the girl has to die die marry with you loh. I mean, marriage is once in a lifetime thingy (choy choy…don’t think of that D word =X) and when a guy decided that he really wanna spend his life with this girl, can’t he at least ask nicely?

Anyway, we were chatting about this marriage proposal thingy and this particular colleague said that she won’t give in unless her boyfriend asks that question. So another colleague teased her and said “So your boyfriend must say ‘请你嫁给我吧！’or ‘请你嫁给我吗??’ before you agree upon marrying him?” After she said that, the rest of us burst into laughters. As she was emphasising on the ‘吧’and‘吗’ so much that it made it sound like ‘请你嫁给我爸！’‘请你嫁给我妈！’. LOL..I know it sound lame but at that point of time, it’s super funny sia.

Moral of the story: Please propose nicely and properly next time =)
